Another year, Zeulab, has reaffirmed its social commitment with especially vulnerable sectors and limited resources, through its collaboration with the social international organization of children deffence (DNI - Costa Rica).
DNI-Costa Rica is a social organization duly registered and recognized with a national presence that also works in Central America and in projects of international impact.
During 22 years they have been working directly with children, teenegers, families, communities and public and private institutions or schools, addressing issues such as poverty, discrimination, lack of opportunity, violence in all its manifestations and sexual and commercial exploitation among others.
During that time they managed to attend more than 22,000 children and adolescents in a direct way and promote rights such as education, health, participation and coexistence in safe and non-violent environments.
In the framework of the collaboration between DNI Costa-Rica with Zeulab, funds have been assigned to support the national emergency that affected several populations after Hurricane Otto. Similarly, the contribution served to support several communities that suffered large fires that destroyed their homes.
Zeulab support to DNI is carried out by donating to the organization the 1% of the total sales of its Proteon allergen detection kit. Kits PROTEON line includes rapid tests PROTEON EXPRESS and PROTEON ELISA kits that allow the user to analyze allergens in a wide range of food and work surfaces. Moreover, PROTEON EXPRESS is based on simple immunochromatographics strips that offer a qualitative (presence/absence) result in a few minutes and without the need for specific infrastructure and personnel. Kits ELISA allow to quantify the amount of allergen present in the food.
Once again we want to thank all of those who have contributed to make this collaboration possible and we also would like to invite you to continue accompanying future Zeulab’s social initiatives.
